Participants Benefit from Information Exchange at Toronto Seminar
Participants in Febuary’s technical seminar at HP (Canada) Co.’s head office in Mississauga, Ontario benefited from the one-day information exchange. Parties contributing to the success of the seminar include: technical staff from HP and subject experts from the industry, sponsors and HP partners, and attending users of HP enterprise technology.
Joining the roster of presenters from HP (Canada) Co. are Thomas Siebold, from the Business Critical Server Division in Munich, Germany, and Sue Skonetski, Technical Program Manager and OpenVMS Ambassador from Nashua, New Hampshire. Thomas and Sue have also presented sessions in previous Encompass Canada (then CANACU) seminars in Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa.
(The late) Terry Shannon, consultant and publisher of “Shannon Knows High Performance Computing,” presented the seminar’s keynote and, along with Norman Lastovica from Oracle, provided third-party perspectives on related technologies and the industry. Also contributing to the thrid-party information exchange are brief presentations from our session sponsors: Software Resources International, System Resale Solutions, and Nemonix Engineering Inc.
Encompass Canada would like to thank HP (Canada) Co, HP Company, Oracle, Terry Shannon, and all its sponsors, Software Resources International, System Resale Solutions, Nemonix Engineering Inc., Agilysis Canada Inc., and Parsec Group for their roles in making the seminar a worthwhile value exchange for all participants involved.
The Toronto area technical seminar is the first event of the year for ‘Technical Outlook 2005’ – a series of information exchange events presented by Encompass Canada in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co.
